Aérospatiale et sécurité
Le secteur aérospatial italien est le 7e plus grand au monde, une industrie stratégique d’une valeur de 18 milliards d’euros et employant 60 000 professionnels. Sa production se répartit comme suit : 55 % d’avions militaires et civils, ainsi que des fournitures pour Airbus et Boeing ; 30 % de satellites et de modules spatiaux pour des missions internationales ; et 15 % de drones, d’aéronefs sans pilote et de systèmes de sécurité intégrés.

T4I Technology For Propulsion And Innovation

T4i is a spin-off of Padua University born in March 2014 and focuses on innovative engines to open unexplored mobility forms to small satellites and unlimited windows to access space. T4i key solutions are electric and chemical propulsion systems for in-space and launcher applications. In the specific: an innovative cost-effective, robust, complete and flexible 1.5U electric propulsion module, REGULUS, suitable for micro and nano satellite platforms, and three chemical propulsion systems (mono-propellant, hybrid and bi-propellant motors) based on highly stabilized hydrogen peroxide. These cover different in-space applications for low-cost satellite platforms as well as small upper stages, micro launchers, sounding rockets and gas generators applications. These solutions are the concretization of a vision born more than a decade ago, while T4i’s team was still part of the Research Group of the University of Padua, about the necessity of the market for simple, versatile, customizable and cost-effective propulsion systems.
