The reality is found in Veneto in the province of Verona, born in the 90s following an evolution, brought by a passion for the land and mainly following a thirty-year experience of the owner as an agricultural expert specialized in the asparagus sector. The company is totally certified Global Gap. The processing of the products is done by computerized calibrating machines that allow to maintain a perfect quality standard avoiding to create problems related to the mixing of different types of asparagus. Over the years the company has developed and specialized on a single product, L'ASPARAGO. Today, more than 28 years later, the agricultural company Conte has an important production reality with a total area of 50 hectares, becoming one of the largest asparagus production companies in northern Italy. The owner Claudio Conte, 53, is also the founder and current Director of the Consortium of Valorisation of the Asparagus of Verona founded in 1999.

The Mattioni Roasting Company LLC represents the longest tradition in coffee processing and brewing in the whole northeastern part of Italy (Friuli Venezia Giulia). Mr. Lino Mattioni, together with his brother Enrico, founded in 1922 the Mattioni Brothers Coffee Company. The first factory was settled in Gorizia's main historical center. During 60s, the first generational passage took place: Mrs Lina and Mrs Silvia Mattioni, Lino’s daughters, replaced their father’s role in the Company managing. Nowadays we pass through the third generation: Company is currently managed by Mrs.Silvia Mattioni’s daughter, Mrs. Francesca Cattaruzzi. The market growth and the technological evolution in roasting techniques related to each other brought to the opening in 1997 of the new plant in the industrial area of Gorizia, with the latest technologies in roasting and packaging, and a very large production capacity and production competencies.

Azienda Falchi Societa Semplice Agricola

Our company’s roots run deep into our ancient history, dating back to a 1792 document officially recording Sisinnio Falchi as “...farmer and breeder...”, later to also become public notary for the town of Oristano. His son Vincenzo – and many family members thereafter – devoted his life to developing the family business. After him, his son Giovannico - a pioneering entrepreneur who was knighted for his major contributions to the country’s economy - extended the firm’s output from farming proper to the inclusion of industrial processing and food preserves retail. After his passing in 1933, the large firm was handed down to his seven children, and just like nowadays, the honour befell a determined manager, Marietta Falchi, to successfully run the family firm. Following the second world war, the firm’s new generations set their minds on improving and innovating the agricultural practices, introducing new machinery and developing technologies. The real turning point came with Antonio who, armed with a Degree in Agriculture at Pisa in 1952, reformed the firm’s production priorities by shifting them mainly towards rice cultivation. And today, it is Antonio’s daughters, Maura, Elisabetta, Cristina and Paola – together with mamma Rosanna – who carry the family tradition into its sixth generation. With doctor agronomist Elisabetta at the helm, the Azienda Agricola Falchi produces our traditional Italian rice, as well as the innovative coloured and aromatic, non-OGM seeds varieties by R&D SAPISE. Our product is rigorously certified by Ente Nazionale Risi and by CREA, and is grown with the environment at heart. We treat our soil, our air and our water like the vital elements they are. Keeping them intact ensures that we maintain essential ecological functions, to protect and preserve them for our future generations.

Riv Rubinetterie Italiane Velatta SpA

Our history began in 1950, when Artemio Velatta decided to start the business. Thanks to the skills, the determination and the values of its founder, the once small artisan business has become an international company exporting its products to over 70 countries. Its production covers valves and accessories for the following sectors: plumbing, industrial, gas, water system, irrigation, zootechnics, wagons and biogas. With a modern fleet of fully automated machines, we are able to manufacture over 50,000 pieces a day. Each production phase is subject to a very strict quality control, with the final 100% test of the finished product. Thanks to a huge stock always available in the warehouse, we are able to tackle requests for immediate delivery. Quality is not a void word, it means: excellent products, love for our job, synergies among all the corporate roles, respect for individuals and the environment; it means maintaining a collaborative and rewarding work environment; it means sharing the obtained successes at all levels and working together to face the coming challenges. Our R&D department is constantly working on the study of innovative products, on the improvement of performance and functionalities of the existing ones, and on the search for solutions that make the manufacturing process more efficient. S'Argidda è un'antica azienda agricola sarda di San Gavino Monreale che produce in biologico. Il prodotto di punta è lo zafferano confezionato in stimmi, unica prova di purezza. I marchi Biologico, D.O.P. e Presidio Slow Food ne garantiscono genuinità, qualità e provenienza. Altri prodotti sempre con marchio Biologico sono il fungo shiitake, uno de I funghi che guariscono, il peperoncino habanero e altre 13 spezie.

Terre Di Zaccanello

Terre di Zaccanello is a family agricultural farm and Relais that stretches for about 10 hectares northeast of Agrigento’s coast, in the county of Racalmuto. The olive grove, from which a fine extra virgin olive oil is produced, dominates the landscape and embraces their boundaries. Every kind of olive cultivated is characterised by a different smell and taste. A unique oil comes from the careful mixture of “Nocellara del Belice”, “Biancolilla”, “Gioconda” and “Bella di Spagna”, combined with constant care of the olive trees. Terre di Zaccanello extra virgin olive Oil comes exclusively from our olive grove, it is cold pressed – as to ensure the highest quality – and it is made using olives carefully selected, harvested manually and fresh pressed. This allows our olive oil to have a very low acidity rate of 0,2%. Terre di Zaccanello extra virgin olive Oil has been admitted to the IGP brand Sicilia, recently recognised by the European Union. We chose a packaging that could honour our mission: enhance the Sicilian territory and the richness of its nature. For this reason, we selected a bottle like a jar: an homage to Pirandello, to his novel and to his birthplace. Each product is handcrafted, so you will never find one identical to another.

I believe that every human being is capable of sketching their own path in life, joyfully performing artistic deeds independent of predetermined procedures, making each day truly unique. In the balanced harmony established between flora and fauna, vines and vintner, and grapes and winemaker, I nourish the inner strength to produce a wine independent of the fluctuating fashion trends, and most importantly capable of offering itself as a means to materialize the personality of both producer and grapes. As a vintner/winemaker I carve the personal appeal of each wine whereby grape varietals, viticultural region, and production techniques contribute but do not determine the character of the final product. Through the simplicity of alchemic winemaking, I invite the consumer to an introspection aimed at stimulating all human physical senses in a simple yet powerful ensemble with the impalpable sphere of thoughts, emotions, memories and feelings. In such wines I seek to resurface the scent of memories and the taste of emotions that contributed to the evolution of the fruit on the plant, and the harmonious interaction with the winemaker in the cellar

From the slopes of a historical hill, once a defensive fortress, now site of the ancient swabian castle of Cosenza, it draws inspiration the entrepreneurial adventure of Rocca Brettia, a family-run winery. Our vineyards kissed by the sun extend over a large hill, at 500, a.s.l. in Donnici Inferiore, close to Cosenza. They are surrounded by the colours of the Mediterranean greenery and protected by secular olive trees, sheltered from the fresh wind of the Sila. Here passion and competence are intertwined with a strong innovative vocation combined with the local tradition, giving life to a wine whose sips tell the deep connection with the territory and the unspoiled charm of nature. We have four hectares cultivated with vines; the type of vines cultivated are: Magliocco , Merlot, Aglianico, Greco Nero, Barbera, Pinot Blanc, Greco Bianco, Montonico Bianco, Chardonnay, Incrocio Manzoni. The entire winemaking process is carried out in our winery, exclusively with grapes from our vineyards.
