SIGEP Asia 2026: Made-in-Italy Gelato Showcased in the Asian Market

The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) supported nine Italian companies at the trade fair, which welcomed buyers from more than 30 countries and 13,000 visitors

From 15 to 17 July 2026, SIGEP Asia transformed the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore into a global showcase for gelato, bakery, pastry, coffee, chocolate and foodservice technologies.

Over the three days of the event, more than 450 brands took part, showcasing products and experiences to the 13,000 visitors in attendance.

A total of 30 countries were represented by companies and industry professionals at the trade fair. Italy was also part of this international line-up, with nine companies coordinated by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), specialising in artisanal gelato, confectionery and gourmet products.

The Italian Pavilion: 126 square metres of opportunity

The Italian companies attending the event were able to benefit from the 126-square-metre Italian Pavilion, organised by the Italian Trade Agency. It provided a dedicated exhibition area for product presentations and a business lounge designed to facilitate meetings with Southeast Asian buyers and turn every contact into a tangible business opportunity.

The B2B meeting programme was organised by the Italian Trade Agency’s Singapore Office, which selected buyers not only from the local market but also from neighbouring countries, with the aim of creating targeted connections between supply and demand. More than simply a trade fair, the event confirmed its role as a strategic platform designed to promote Made in Italy agri-food excellence in Southeast Asia’s most dynamic markets.

Italian Trade Agency initiatives

The buyer selection process was followed by a targeted promotional campaign, with invitations sent to local operators and industry stakeholders. The Italian Pavilion therefore welcomed a highly qualified audience of visitors interested not only in discovering Made in Italy excellence, but above all in meeting the exhibiting companies and establishing high-quality business relationships.

To support its business-matching activities, the Italian Trade Agency created a digital catalogue dedicated to the nine participating Italian companies. Available before and during the trade fair, the catalogue enabled buyers and industry professionals to learn more about the exhibitors, explore their product offerings and attend meetings with a clear understanding of the potential opportunities for collaboration.
